Challenge:

One of the largest insurance brokers in the world servicing 180 countries was looking for a partner to enhance its IT capacity to service its global clients.  With key operations in US, UK, Australia, and Mumbai the need for a service provider who can support a 24-hour cycle operations was a vital criteria.

Solution:

Vértere, then Kforce Global, formed a multi-skilled offshore team to augment the client’s two IT global support hubs in providing application development and support services including infrastructure support. A Kforce PMO function was set up onsite in both locations to ensure quality, seamless communication and governance. Service efficiency was driven thru knowledge management and continuous process improvement, all being critical to the long-term support arrangement.

Outcome:

The engagement lasted for over 9 years. At its peak, the Manila team reached a headcount of 140 and supported more than 450+ applications running on technologies ranging from old Legacy applications built on Mainframe to the modern web-based Dotnet/Java applications. Key benefits derived were increased speed of delivery for technology products and support; user backlogs cleared; and enhanced performance through implementation of technology advances.
